Cialmer
So I figured Icarus was going to do a post about this but SINCE SHE'S EVIDENTLY A LAZY BUM >((((( I decided to do it since it was a super special awesome fun project and I had a lot of fun doing it.
So for those of you that don't know (all 1 of you), Icarus and I are in a Star Wars RP, in which we basically dress up as ourselves only as aliens and pretend to gallivant around space avoiding Imperial soldiers and delivering illegal things. Icarus' character is Cial, a half-human teenager addicted to a drug called glitterstim. I don't know the specifics but basically glitterstim (or glit for short) is kept in dark vials because looking at it makes you super ridiculously high. Or something. So the last time the Black Hole Dapper Hat Society was together in full, we stopped by the Nintendo Center in New York City and looked at various things. One of these things was a shelf full of Pokemon plushes, all with ridiculous expressions. We started picking up certain ones and declaring them to be characters from the RP. At some point I found a Grimer with the most ridiculous expression on its face, shoved it at Icarus' giant jew nose and went THIS IS TOTALLY CIAL. To which she replied, "TOTALLY." And that was the end of that.
COME AUGUST 2008 in which I took another trek down to NYC to meet some old friends. Being nerds, we invariably wind up at the Nintendo Center again, whereupon I take the chance to purchase the Grimer doll. For I have plans. Nefarious, cunning plans. I return to my abode and purchase the fluffiest yellow fluff I can find, and four tubes of gold and silver glitter. I didn't need that much glitter but it came in packs. Using a Prismacolor marker, some glue, an old eraser canister and some velcro, AND some last minute stitching lessons AND some black acrylic paint, I began my project. And thus, Cialmer was born:
that velcro hand was a BITCH to stitch (lol rime). So was the velcro around the glitstick.
BEHOLD! DETACHABLE GLIT TUBE!
And this is what's in the glitstick. It's blurry because the camera kept focusing on my hand but you get the picture. Glitter=Glit. Hurr.
